Utah Independent Bank

Mission Statement: Privacy and Confidentiality

At Utah Independent Bank, the basis of each customer relationship is trust. You have chosen to do business with Utah Independent Bank, and we are obligated to honor that relationship with great care, beginning with the information you have chosen to share with us. We believe that your privacy should not be compromised. At the same time, we want to offer you the array of financial products and services you need to accomplish your financial goals. We believe we can do both through the privacy policy outlined below.

Privacy Policy

We, at Utah Independent Bank, believe the confidentiality and protection of customer information is one of our fundamental responsibilities. And while information is critical to providing quality service, we recognize that one of our most important assets is our customers' trust. Thus, the safekeeping of customer information is a priority for Utah Independent Bank.

Information about customers is accumulated from a variety of sources. Some information is provided to Utah Independent Bank directly by customers themselves. Other data is developed by Utah Independent Bank as a function of providing a product or service to a customer. Still other information is obtained from outside sources. We will limit the use and collection of information about our customers to that which is necessary to administer our business, provide superior service, and offer opportunities that we think will be of interest to customers. This means that we will use information to help us identify and mitigate potential risks or loss to Utah Independent Bank. We use information to protect and administer your records, accounts, and funds; to comply with certain laws and regulations; to help us design or improve our products and services; and to understand your financial needs so that we can provide you with quality products and superior service. We will use this information only in accordance with the principles set out in this Policy.

Utah Independent Bank has established procedures to ensure that your financial information is accurate, current and complete, in keeping with reasonable commercial standards. We also pledge to respond to requests to correct inaccurate information in a timely manner.

At Utah Independent Bank, employee access to personally identifiable customer information is limited to those with a business reason to know such information. Employees are educated on the importance of maintaining the confidentiality of customer information and on these Privacy Principles. Because of the importance of these issues, all Utah Independent Bank employees are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of customer information and employees who violate these Privacy Principles will be subject to disciplinary measures.

Utah Independent Bank is committed to the security of your financial and personal information. All of our operational and data processing systems are in a secure environment and protects your account information from being accessed by third parties. We maintain and grant access to customer information only in accordance with our internal security standards.

We do not reveal specific information about your accounts or other personally identifiable data to parties outside our banking environment for their independent use unless: 1) you request or authorize it; 2) the information is provided to help complete a transaction initiated by you; 3) the information is provided to a reputable credit bureau or similar information reporting agency; or 4) the disclosure otherwise is lawfully required. We do not provide account or personal information to non-Utah Independent Bank companies for the purpose of independent telemarketing or direct mail marketing of any non-financial products or services of those companies.

When the Bank conducts business with third parties, it requires its vendors and suppliers to maintain similar standards of conduct regarding the privacy of personally identifiable customer information provided to them. If we do provide customer information to a third party, we will insist -- by written agreement -- that the third party adhere to privacy principles similar to those to which Utah Independent Bank adheres for keeping information confidential.

Utah Independent Bank recognizes and respects the privacy expectations of our customers. We want our customers to understand our commitment to privacy in our use of customer information. As a result of our commitment, we have developed these Privacy Principles which are made readily available to our customers. Customers who have questions about these Privacy Principles or have a question about the privacy of their customer information should call either office of Utah Independent Bank (Beaver at 435-438-2433 or Salina at 435-529-7459).

Utah Independent Bank reserves the right to amend the policy from time to time.
